Balancing the Crown (Sahasrara) Chakra

Do you doubt that you have a connection to the higher power?

Are you accepting of yourself for who you are?

Do you feel disconnected from your spirituality?

Do you have a tend to act out self-destructive behavior?

If you want to understand whether your crown chakra is balanced, start by answering these questions. Then, read on to understand what the crown chakra is and how you can balance it.

What Is Your Crown Chakra?

The crown chakra is located above the top of the head and is associated with the element of thought. It is the seventh and highest chakra and you can imagine it by visualizing a white lotus above your head.

In Sanskrit, the crown chakra means "thousand petals". It connects you to God energy, which is what connects us all.

Why Balance Your Crown Chakra?

Enlightenment seems to be an unattainable goal to some. Don't a select few gurus ever actually "get there"?

Although nobody can promise you enlightenment through balancing your crown chakra, what can be attained, especially if you have spent time balancing all of the other six lower chakras, are the feelings of deep inner peace and joy. That's worth it, don't you think?

When your crown chakra is balanced, you know that you are a part of the whole, but you are also the whole. In other words, you are both the giver and receiver of consciousness. You do not doubt your connection to a higher power. It is clear that is who you are. You are pure awareness.

How Do You Know If Your Crown Chakra Is Imbalanced?

A big sign that your crown chakra is imbalanced is that you feel disconnected from spirituality. Perhaps you used to be spiritual but lost your way. Or, maybe it just feels hard to trust in a higher power. Whatever it is, something has caused you to become cynical about spirituality.

You might be apathetic, finding it hard to engage. Or, on the other hand, you might be participating in self-destructive behaviors.

Physically, an imbalanced crown chakra can manifest as poor coordination, headaches, depression, and exhaustion.
